Wright, who previously spent eight years with motorsport and automotive technology company Prodrive, joins the English Provender board with a remit to boost the company's consumer brands and develop its corporate identity.
Wright, who began his marketing career at Mars, said: "It feels hugely exciting to be back in the world of food, particularly with English Provender, which is entering a significant phase in its development."
"Sales are extremely buoyant and we are laying the foundations for even greater long term growth across our entire brand portfolio. But we will also be keen to maintain the high quality and appeal of English Provender products that set them apart from rivals in the market place."
